Neuropsychological Assessment

Purpose

Our neuropsychological assessments are designed for individuals who have experienced brain injuries, strokes, concussions, motor vehicle accidents (MVAs), learning disabilities, neurodegenerative diseases, or other neurological conditions. These evaluations play a crucial role in diagnosing and addressing cognitive challenges that affect functions like memory, attention, concentration, processing speed, problem-solving, and language. By identifying both cognitive strengths and areas of difficulty, we provide tailored recommendations for interventions and rehabilitation to support recovery and improve quality of life.

Assessment Process

  1. Initial Consultation: We begin with a thorough clinical interview to gather your medical history, understand your concerns, and determine the specific areas of cognitive functioning to evaluate.

  2. Comprehensive Testing: A series of standardized tests will be administered, measuring different aspects of cognitive performance, including memory, attention, executive functioning, language, visuospatial abilities, and more. These tests are designed to provide an accurate picture of your cognitive strengths and areas that may require support.

  3. Results and Feedback: After the assessment, you will receive a detailed report that outlines your cognitive profile. This report includes an analysis of your test results, diagnostic impressions, and recommendations for any treatments or interventions.

  4. Follow-up Plan: Based on your results, we will work with you to develop a tailored plan that might include cognitive rehabilitation, therapies, lifestyle adjustments, or referrals to other specialists as needed.
